My Aphrodite

In your face, I can feel the presence of God,
Lighting up the dark alleys with a heavenly smile so broad.
Even the black and white becomes colorful, with your touch.
To honour your spirit the alphabets aren’t much.
The zeal you possess and the grit that you attire,
Complemented by the unmatched beauty that everyone desire.
Under the hood of poise resides a tender heart,
Seeking the world to fathom its true serene part.
For the roses will wilt and the leaves will wither,
But thy beauty will be intact as the heavens never smither.

πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

Feelings are so strong that they can make a simple person appear like a God. In all their actions and in all their appearances, one can only experience the presence of God. It makes us realise the sheer and unlimited devotion and love we have in this limited space occupied by our body. That is when we realise that we are beyond this physical form.

Roop – your guise

Palke hai tumhari ya fir ankhe jo kahar dhaati hai,
Jhapkati ho tum par saanse meri ruk jati hai.
Maathe ko tumhari ye jo bindia sajaati hai,
Naa jaane kitni raato ki neend aur din ke chain churati hai.
Hotho ki laali hai ya gulaab odhe hua hai,
Is muskaan par tumhari kitno ka dil atka hua hai.
Gaal hai tumhare ya rui ka koi baadal hai,
Pyase ki pyaas mita de, ye roop tumhara wo sawan hai.

English:-

Is it your eyes or those eyelids that wreaks havoc,
Albeit you flutter them, it stops my breath.

The bindi decorates your forehead like a lilac,
Leaving me insomniac as whirlpools brew.

Is it the redness of your lips or have you veiled a rose,
A smile on your face and the hitherto beating hearts froze.

Is it your glowing cheeks or a white cloud of cotton,
Quenching the thirst, your guise is that monsoon.

There is nothin’ just like you

It is not the facet of the white moonlight,
But your smile that wanes out the darkness.
It is not the facet of a gentle breeze on a hot day,
But the flinging of your hairs that brings coolness.

It is not the quirk of a setting sun,
But your lips that Color the roses red.
It is not the quirk of a dense branched tree,
But your beautiful thatch hair that provides shed.

It is not the trait of a sparrow or a cuckoo,
But your cadence voice that constructed notes.
It is not the trait of the ice blanket on mountains,
But your cheeks that gives white its colour quotes.

It is not the facet of the perennial rivers and streams,
But your eyes that gives depth to the giant ocean.
It is not the facet of the fireflies in the night,
But the pleasure of seeing you that makes stars twinkle with devotion.

It is not the quirk of a pearl born in its shell,
But your eyes that gives shape to the sun.
It is not the quirk of stars reflection on the sea,
But your traits that makes the heart of the zillions run.

It is not the facet of the fragrance in a parterre,
But your blissful form that keeps everyone breathing.

Hindi:-

Chaand Ki Chandni Mein Woh baat kahan,
Yeh Toh Teri Muskan Hai Jo andhiyara mitati Hai.
Garmi me us Thandi Hawa Ke Naram jhonke Mein wo Baat Kahan,
Yeh Toh Teri zulfo ka jhatakna hai jo thandak pahuchati hai.

Doobte Suraj Ki Madhham se Lali Mein Woh Baat Kaha,
Yeh Toh Tere Honth Hain Jo Gulabo Mein Laal Rang bharte hai.
Ghane paedon ki dolti Hui Shakhaon Mein Woh Baat Kaha,
Yeh Toh Tere Ghane Baal Hai Jo chaanv dete Hain.

Papihe ki peehu aur Koyal ki kooho mai wo baat kaha,
Yeh to teri awaaz hai jisse Sur aur Taal bante hain.
Pahado par barf ki us chaadar mai wo baat kaha,
Ye to tere Gaal hai jo barf Ko gora karte hai.

Bahti hui in jheelon aur nadiyo me wo baat kaha,
Ye to teri ankhei hai jo Sagar Ko gahrai deti hai.
Raat ke andhere me chamchamte jugnuon me wo baat kaha,
Ye to tera Deedar hai jinse sitaare jagmaga uthte hai.

Seep mei janme naye Moti me wo baat kaha,
Ye to tere mast Nayan hai jo Sooraj Ko golakar dete hai.
Saagar par padte sitaaro ki chaadar ke pratibimb me wo baat kaha,
Ye to teri Ada hai jisse logo ke dilo ki dhadkane chalti hai.

Phoolu ke us baagh ki khushbu me wo baat kaha,
Ye to tera roop hai jisse saanso ki saansei bharti hai.

The poem was first written in Hindi, but I believe that the translation has came out pretty nicely. Hope you enjoy these verses!

There is nothin’ just like you is an imagination that taps into the deepest part of the heart. When we juxtopose the nature and someone we admire, even the beauty of the nature falls short. It is just a way to tell that beauty lies in the eyes of beholder! Everyone is beautiful and there is nothin’ just like you!😊

Madhosh raaz/ Intoxicated secrets (Collab)

I would like to Thank Sameera for this wonderful opportunity of doing a colab with her!! It was an amazing experience..
I really hope that all our readers like this work of ours. 😊

Our words mingled so perfectly as if the verses were waiting for each other. With this work her amazing SS Poetry has transformed into SP poetry to mark the beginning of an amazing friendship. Our verses are all about the secrets we hide in the darkness, revealed by our words.

Although translations can never do justice to the original verse yet we tried our best to translate. ❀

Here’s goes the poem :

Madhoshiyan alfazo ki sunane lagi hai kahani nayi
Is lamhe mei raaz hai kayi

Sham dhalti hai taaron ki raat mei
Fizaein nayi hai is jazbaat mei
Khwab palkon par timtimate hai
Andheron ke parde par jagmagate hai
Bunti hai yeh duniya kahani nayi
Is lamhe mei raaz hai kayi.

Seep si palkon me band un motiyon mei
Cham cham karte kuch sapne sajte hai
Bin bole huye lafzon ke un aksharon me
Rim jhim karte dua-e-ishq baraste hai
Khwabon ke ye tazkire hai ek kahani nayi
Is Lamhe mei raaz hai kayi

Dhalti Hui raat ki us angdai Mai
Badalte huye karvaton ki duhaai hai
Dhadakte huye bechain se dilon Mai
Kisi ki ruswai to kisi aur ki parchhai hai

Mehtab mei kaid na jane kiski tanhai hai
Subah ke intzar mei dhalti angdai hai
Dhadakte huye bechain palon mei
Teri rooh aur teri hi parchhai hai.

Parinda hu un khwabon ka jinhe tumne sajaya
Khwahish hai tara banjau jisko tumne sarhaya
Odh lu tumhari baaton ki chaadar yahi
Tumhari is muskurahat Mai Raaz hai kayi.

Waqt ka ehsaas ho tum ya ho koi fairishte
Meri raat ko sajate tumhare sare rishte
Tum ho toh hai yeh baatein wahi
In baaton mei raaz hai kayi.

Is raat mei us baat ki muskurahat hai
Jiski mere darwaze par aj aahat hai
Bikhre ab mere saare yeh raaz hai
In lamhon mei gunjti tumhari aawaz hai

Madhoshiyan alfazo ki kehti hai baatei kayi
In lamhon mei kaid hai raaz wahi.

TRANSLATION

Intoxication of words tells the story just revived
Some secrets that these moments hide.

The evening morphs into a starry night
Creating an ambience of pristine feelings.
The eyes sparkle brightly with dreams
Scintillating amidst the darkness that veils.
The world is knitting a story just revived
Innumerable secrets these moments hide.

Closed in shell-like eyelashes are pearls
Where my dreams glitter
In letters of those unsaid words
Prayers for your love drizzle
This memorandum of our dreams is a story revived
Innumerable secrets these moments hide.

In the cavernous of the waning night
Are the cries of the insomniacs.
In the restlessness of a beating heart
Are the shadows of someone and treachery of others.

Prison in moon is an unknown emptiness
Awaiting the sunrise, stretching and setting
In palpitations of my heart lies your presence
Which are shadows of you and your essence

I am the bird with decorated feathers of your memories
Wishes to conquer the star you appreciate
In wrappings of your verses I confide
Like the secrets, your smiles hide.

You are the caress of time or perhaps an angel
As you and your affinity decorate my night.
Because of you, my verses are tied
Innumerable secrets these words hide.

This night is smiling because of a reason
Giving an inkling on my closed doors.
All the secrets lie out in open, scattered
As in this moment, your voice is echoing.

Intoxicated words these moments converse
Hidden beneath which are the secrets.

This occasion has been graced and blessed by our beloved Nandita, who piqued my interest towards yet another collaboration through her amazing verses.
This collaboration is in both English and Hindi and reflects the emotions and thoughts of lovers who were separated by their destiny. Good news for the readers as their love was triumphant and came out victorious. πŸ˜„

So here it goes!!

The hindi version

Tum aise rooth ke chale gaye
Maano kabhi koi tha hi nahi rishta
Dar dar bhatke yeh musafir dil ab
Kitni aasani se tumne tod diya ghar jo
Bewafa toh kabhi the nahi hum
Bewafai se rishta jod liya hain ab
Tum aao toh kah saku ek baar
Kabhi is dil ki ankahi dastaan
Phir chaahe mite na mite yeh faasla
Par is bewafa ko milega rehai ka wo raasta.

Tha nahi aasaan mera bin bole Jaana,
Kya tha pyaar door jaake maine pahchaana.
Manzil thi tum meri, muqqaddar shayad nahi,
Toofanon se lad baitha par tumse mil paya nahi.
Di mujhe shikhast kismat ke us Taare ne,
Na bacha paya ghar hamara na bata paya hamare bare me.
Phir bhi na toota mera Josh na mera haunsla,
Milna tha tumse, mitaana tha ye faansla.
Chal Raha hu Mai, chale ja Raha hu tumhari ore,
Kheeche jaa Rahi hai mujhe tumhare pyaar ki Dor.

Akhir Ho hi gayi mulaakat,
Mil Gaye lafz aur jud Gaye aks.
Kahni thi jo nayi purani baatein,
Poore karne the wo hamare waadein.
Sahmi si jo thi saansein,
Mil gaye falak na jaane kahan se.
Laut aai un sookhi aankhon me chamak,
Shamiyana basa, fir Laut ayi damak.

Manzil tum mere, muqaddar mai teri
Milna toh tha hi, kismat aisi hamari.
Ab kabhi jana nahi, sah nahi paungi mai
Apni saari saansein tere naam kardi.

The English version

You stormed off, away from me,
away from our love as if we never were.
The ease with which you abandoned our home,
you turned this heart into a cheating vagabond that now drifts aimlessly.
If only you’d come back, I could tell you my untold story.
Then maybe, just maybe
this cheating heart would find some redemption,
even if the distance remains uncovered.

It was not easy leaving in silence
but only in my isolation, I understood the meaning of love.
You were my destination, not my destiny.
If only you knew the storms I fought with to be with you.

My stars crossed love, I could not save our home

Neither could I give justice to our story .
But even then, I did not give up on you.
I had to meet you somehow,
traverse the distance anyhow.
So I come to you my love, this phase won’t be long.
The waves of your love, like a beacon, beckon me so strong!

And here we are,
our words consummating, our reflections melding.
Our breaths exhaling !
all those unsaid words, undone deeds.
Here we meet
To find us again.

You are my destination, I your destiny
Fate had to bow down to our love, such is our story.
Don’t ever go away again I could never do without you!
All my life and every breath, I dedicate to you!!

I hope you will enjoy reading our work. Thank you!😊

Baarish

Barsaat ki ye bheegi raat,
Aise me aap ka saath.πŸ‘«
Sirf pal do pal ki na ho ye baat,
Dua hai bani rahe apki ye muskarahaat.😊
Maddham si chalti ye sheetal pawan,
Kar deti hai apki baate humko magan.
Hiran se bhi khubsurat apke Ye nain,πŸ‘οΈπŸ‘οΈ
Uda kar hosh, chheen lete hain dil ka chain.
Ye kaatil adaa karti hai jo gadar,
Hamari is dosti ki karte hai hum kadar.
Apke gore gaalon par hai ye jo laali,
Apki is khubsurati ke liye bajate hai hum taali.πŸ‘
Aasmaan se girti hai Jo ye baarish,
Maano apke bheege baalon ki hai ye saazish.πŸ’•
Kudrat ne ki thi apse Milne ki guzaarish,
Karne mulakaat wo aai banke baarish! 🌧️

As promised, I am sharing a poem that I have written in Hindi. My first poem in Hindi. The beauty of the rain mesmerizes us and leaves us in a reverie where we start juxtaposing the beauty we see and the beauty we dream about. From there it leads us into so many emotions and experiences which can be only felt.πŸ’“

Hope this poem could bring forth those unspoken emotions in some way!🀞 Cheers and happy holidays 😊

But where is she?

Her infectious smile makes a myriad of flowers dance merrily round the clock,
Her cheerful laugh is like an addictive music of waves hitting the rock.
Her mirthful nature obliterates the darkness of a heart forlorn,
A glimpse of her harbingers an unrivalled freshness of dawn.
She is an epitome of fortitude that cannot be breached,
She is a castle of bravado that can never be seiged.
Veiling herself by an unperturbed and immaculate volition,
Har scintillating cavernous eyes are epithets of her ambition.
And Intrepid mind adorns her like an impeccable Tiara,
Spreading her gusto she enriches the surroundings with her aura.
A flabbergasting beauty cradling an ethereal heart,
She is my “Wonder woman” to which her pristine figure impart.
She is like a fresh and cozy wind that soothes the cheeks,
Blowing through her hairs, to get her aroma, the wind sneaks.
She is a priceless gem, the seven kingdoms are in search for,
And for me, she is all the good reasons worth dying for.
But where is she!?!?

Dreaming about someone special, especially when there isn’t one, is the past time job of every person out there.. Where is the prince charming? Where is my Snow white? The unanswered question that lingers around like an unsolved mystery. Our unanswered prayers may get answered but finding the right answer to this one question is tough!!

So, let us not feel bad.. Let us close our eyes and see!! I hope this poem gave us a glimpse if not the answer!!πŸ˜›

My Moonlight Fantasy πŸŒ’

Walking under the moonlight I looked at the moon,
With a hope that I shall meet someone pretty, soon.
Hope to see a face that has a radiant glow,
And the eyes that can make the world go slow.
The delicate eyelids covering those precious gems,
Hiding inside them the depth from where the truth begins.
Dazzled and spellbound by the silvery shine,
For the teeth that sparkle with the smile so divine.
Make no haste although the winter may fall,
For her luxuriant hair are the source of warmth.
An aroma that can fill someone with joy and zeal,
Bestowing upon me her humbleness which none can steal.
The rosy lips or perhaps the lips of rose,
Garnishing over the yummy cake is a cherry nose.
The emptiness deep down is now ceasing to grow,
For the boulevard has finally begin to glow.
The face as white as snow with a tinge of crimson,
Wears the serenity of a sunset below horizon.
A smile so beautiful that no flower can match,
It comes with delicacy and makes my day in a snatch.
An enthralling gaze of those mesmerizing beautiful eyes,
And the miraculous blink makes my heart skip beat twice.
The golden voice always ring a welcome note,
The cuckoo bird envies of u for such a clean throat.
The moon is still there staring at the twinkling star,
But the moonlight found you adorned in the most beautiful avatar.
For no star can shine or twinkle as bright as you,
And no light can make the world sparkle the way you do.. 😊

Sometimes the beautiful nature nudges us in a world of fantasy. We then begin to dream of someone who not only matches the beauty of the nature but supercedes it. A spectacularly gorgeous person whose allure is gilded when juxtaposed to nature. I hope that the readers, through this poem, smile while reliving their fantasies.
