Roop – your guise

Palke hai tumhari ya fir ankhe jo kahar dhaati hai,
Jhapkati ho tum par saanse meri ruk jati hai.
Maathe ko tumhari ye jo bindia sajaati hai,
Naa jaane kitni raato ki neend aur din ke chain churati hai.
Hotho ki laali hai ya gulaab odhe hua hai,
Is muskaan par tumhari kitno ka dil atka hua hai.
Gaal hai tumhare ya rui ka koi baadal hai,
Pyase ki pyaas mita de, ye roop tumhara wo sawan hai.

English:-

Is it your eyes or those eyelids that wreaks havoc,
Albeit you flutter them, it stops my breath.

The bindi decorates your forehead like a lilac,
Leaving me insomniac as whirlpools brew.

Is it the redness of your lips or have you veiled a rose,
A smile on your face and the hitherto beating hearts froze.

Is it your glowing cheeks or a white cloud of cotton,
Quenching the thirst, your guise is that monsoon.
